House

Over on the Alphabet Challenge blog this week we are on H is for House, this is one of my H's. I made this little house by drawing the house on a piece of brown card, to which I added roof and brick details. The windows and door were cut from white card, coloured and adhered with micro dots. I finished off by adding the wisteria and tulips with liquid Pearls paints.

Two more houses.......

And here are the last two Christmas houses for the swap on CSF, made in exactly the same way as the first one :)

12 Days of Christmas

This is a picture that I drew for the 12 days of Christmas ATC swap on CSF, obviously I chose to do 3 French hens! LOL

Christmas house............

Goodness, it's been awhile since I last posted here hasn't it!!!! Well having been asked to participate in the Christmas house swap on CSF, I have now made my first ever house! I'm hoping it's ok! The house was covered with a piece of K & Co Christmas paper, I then coloured the roof and drew on the tile details. I drew and coloured the windows and door, and added a few bricks. The wreath on the door is made by adding flowersoft.

Joey

Hi all, I can at last post this piccy, it is a pet portrait that I painted for my guy's birthday, (which was at the weekend), it is his little dog Joey. It is painted in acrylics, with a touch of glossy accents on the eyes and nose.

Thursday 10 September 2009

Goodness, can't believe I haven't posted anything since July! So here is a tag that I made for this week's Alphabet challenge on my other blog. This week it is W and my tag is Watching!
And while I'm at it, here is my V entry also.........V is for Vixen! (All of these are my own paintings)

Friday 24 July 2009

Cupboard door!

Having been going through a bit of a lull creatively, my guy asked me if I would paint this cupboard door for inside his campervan. Having had a bit of a think, this is what appeared! It is all painted with acrylics, and is in fact the first landscape that I have painted in acrylics. There are things that I'm not happy with, but I won't point them out here :)

Thursday 9 July 2009

P is for.......................

Panda! I made this card using an image of a panda that I drew awhile ago, and some oriental background papers from Papermania's lovely Oriental spice pad. The card was finished off with an oriental text peel off.

Thursday 25 June 2009

N is for..................

This is my entry this week for the Alphabet Challenge, we are up to N now! I have used one of my stamps for a Nightime bear!

Friday 19 June 2009

M is for...................... Medusa

This week on the Alphabet challenge we have made it all the way to M..........so here is my M for Medusa card. The main picture is an embroidery that I designed and made several years ago. I then drew the cobra with a fine ink pen, just to finish the card off. Many thanks for looking.

Still playing.................

Now, you see, this is what happens when I am too busy to do any "proper" crafting...........I end up doodling........again. So here we have another sheet of doodled wrapping paper! :)

Monday 8 June 2009

Easel card

I've had these Easel card blanks for years, and never got around to doing anything with them! Last night a friend was playing with some that she had, which inspired me to dig mine out and have a go. Of course I cheated and printed out out of my landscape oil paintings that I did several years ago. edged it with distress ink and a peel off and hey presto.......job done!

Saturday 6 June 2009

And more..................

I have been painting my nails again.............(the weather's not good for haymaking you see!) And in answer to zoe............I manage with the farmwork and heavy horses, because my nails have acrylic on them! They are in fact very strong :)

Friday 5 June 2009

K is for ...................

Kingfisher! This weeks letter on my Alphabet challenge blog is K. I have used a painting of a Kingfisher that I did some years ago, and then drew bulrushes in the background with a fine black pen. I drew the panel again with a fine black pen and drew a darker shadow round two sides to make it appear raised. The edge of the card was finished with a gold peeloff.

Thursday 4 June 2009

Playing again!

Have been sitting chilling out this evening, so I thought I'd have another play with my nails. Again I "painted" them by hand using nail varnish pens.

Saturday 30 May 2009

Something different.......................

Just a bit of fun! I am going to a Hawaiian themed party tonight, so I thought I'd have a bit of a play, and using nail varnish pens, I painted my nails with palm trees, to coincide with the theme!

Thursday 28 May 2009

J is for.....................

Jack-in-the-Box,......... obviously! I couldn't think of anything else to do for J so I drew this Jack-in-the-box. He is coloured in with various water soluble pencils/crayons. I drew a border with a gold Krylon and decorated the edge of the card with a punch and adhered a bit of gold embossed card on the inside of the card.

Saturday 23 May 2009

Tribal Pegasus

Okay, okay, I know I was only going to have one tattoo, but I have now just had my 10th one! Now to be fair I designed this one for a friend, but I liked it so much that I decided to get it done! :)

Thursday 21 May 2009

"Man" Card!

I had to make a "man" card today, don't we all hate making them! Anyway, I decided that I would try and make a card featuring a car that my guy used to own. I therefore drew and coloured the Jag. I coloured it using Aquatone sticks, and then to make it shimmer I added a bit of clear stardust Sakura gelly roll pen, and watercoloured it out across the whole car. I have again used one of the lovely Kanban distressed card blanks, and attached the car with 3D foam pads. The greeting was then handwritten using a silver Galaxy marker. (My biggest worry was that I had got the right model of car, apparently I did! :) )

Monday 18 May 2009

Last one.................

Another simple card, using the last of the printed portraits. Made in exactly the same way as the last one. This is a little old pony named Phoebe.

Very simple card

I'm still using the pictures that I printed out of some of my pet portraits, and this card is about as simple as they get! I cut the picture out, and glued it to the card blank. I added copper coloured peel offs, and used a black marker pen to draw a shadow effect round the image to make it appear raised. (The orginal painting was done on wood, which is why the grain can be seen through the painting) The pony is Foldor Skylark, another one that I bred myself, and who is now showjumping locally and also doing very well apparently.

Thursday 14 May 2009

And another................

Another print of a painting I did some while ago. This one is a watercolour and ink portrait of a horse that I bred a few years ago, when I was breeding horses. Her name is Foldor Zenna, and she now lives at a local riding school, and is doing very well showjumping at various shows during the summer months.

Heron panel card

Another simple card today, this time using a print of one of my paintings. I matted the piccy on gold mirri card and attached it to the card blank using 3D pads. I then created the two side panels using gold peel offs, and drew the bulrushes in with a black pen. I finished it off by drawing a black shadow around the bottom and side of the panels.

Friday 8 May 2009

More wrapping paper.......................

Well I'm afraid I'm still not feeling very creative, and so I have been doing some more doodling, and have made another sheet of wrapping paper...........................

Sunday 3 May 2009

F is for....................

This weeks challenge over on my Alphabet Challenge blog is F, so here is my multiple F entry, a Fat book page with a Feather, Filigree, Foiling and Flowers!

Friday 1 May 2009

And now for............................

..................something completely different! This is a painting that I did one winter many years ago now, (way before we had blogs!), of the back of our house. It has been hanging in my MIL's sitting room, and it just occurred to me that it might make some nice Christmas cards!

Monday 27 April 2009

Something different......................

Well, I've not really been feeling very creative recently, and this evening I needed a bit of wrapping paper, so I started doodling on an A3 piece of paper on my desk. I just thought I'd do a few flowers and leaves, but then I just sort of kept doodling, and this was the result!! Just in case it looks pinky to you, (as it does on my lappy) the paper is in fact pale yellow!

Friday 24 April 2009

E is for..................

It is E week on the Alphabet challenge blog So I have done Encaustic art and Elephant! I drew the elephant, and coloured him with watercolour pencils. The panel was done with unusaully, (for me) colourful encaustic waxes, mounted and attached to one of the distressed card blanks.

Monday 20 April 2009

Last one.................?

...........at least for today! Same old, .............encaustic panel, triple matted and attached to another distressed card blank.

Red planet!

And another one, simple card, encaustic panel matted onto gold mirri and attached to distressed card blank with 3D pads, and peel off sentiment added to finish off.

And....................

..........another one.........bet you're getting bored now! Another of the encaustic panels, with more of the holographic silver fish. (Even if they look blue in the scan!)

Sunday 19 April 2009

And another.................................

.........not pink this time! Another of the encaustic art panels I did the other day, with some hand scribed holographic card fishes.

Encaustic card...............bit pink!!!

The other day I had a bit of a play with my encaustic art waxes, and this is one of the results! It was done on a piece of black encaustic card, mounted onto black and then cerise, (not really pink) mirri card and attached to a Kanban silver/black distressed card blank.

Eyes ATC

The theme this week on Think Monday Think ATC is eyes, so I had a bit of a doodle, I just wanted to show how you could give expresson to just about anything, just with eyes! The eyes were drawn in sharpie marker, and the background was coloured with Lyra Aquacolour crayons.

Monday 13 April 2009

Chick ATC

Several weeks ago on Art Creations Friday the challenge was to use this lovely background, I didn't manage to do the challenge at the time, but I have now used the background for this ATC for which I also used two of my own design Easter chick stamps

Friday 10 April 2009

A couple of cards............

Well it is Friday again, so this is my entry for the Alphabet challenge which this week is C. The cat is actually made out of felt, with embroidered detail. The patchwork background is simply made by cutting squares from patterned paper, which have been stuck to the card blank................the stitch detail was added with pen afterwards.

The second card is an Easter card that I have made using my new Easter stamps

Sunday 5 April 2009

B is for Bunny

This weeks challenge over on my Alphabet Challenge blog is .........B, so this is my brayered bunny ATC. The stamps are again from my own range which can be found by clicking the sunflower, over on the right.

Monday 16 March 2009

Mother and child Arch

The challenge on Gothic Arches this week is Mother and Child. I decided to use a photo of my son's old pony, with one of her foals. I used a lovely piece of background paper from Papermania behind the image. I then stamped one of my swirls stamps, and traced over them with black stickles. The edges were finished off with Adirondack acrylic dabber.

Tuesday 10 March 2009

Wings tag

The challenge this week on Tag you're it this week is Wings. I used my butterfly stamp again which. I stamped it onto DCWV OUAT paper and highlighted areas of the butterfly with crystal lacquers. The background of the tag was coloured with Color box Brocade ink pads, and I added my painted flowers and finished the edge of the tag with Acrylic dabber.

Monday 9 March 2009

Fantasy Arch

This weeks challenge on Gothic Arches is Fantasy, so I have used my Pegasus stamp, on some hand made paper, which I have glittered with irridescent glitter. The background arch was made from burgundy card, which I covered with lace paper, edged with gold acrylic dabber, and sprinkled randomly with a mixture of green and gold glitter.

Dragonfly

The challenge this week on Wednesday Stamper is to make a skinny, and the Tanda Teaser is Up in the Air, so I decided to combine the two, and made this skinny. I have used my swirl stamps in the background, highlighted with a white gel pen. I then added accent beads and acrylic dabbers. I then used my dragonfly stamp and some fantasy film and illusion card to make the dragonfly.

Sunday 1 March 2009

Eyeball card

Now this is definitely a bit outside the box! The theme for this weeks challenge on Step Outside Your Box Saturdays is eyes. Well I was looking through an old sketchbook, and found this picture that I had drawn about 30 years ago!!! I scanned it and tweaked the colouring and then mounted it on a card, which I finished off with peeloffs.

Stripes challenge

The Challenge last week on Created by Hand Challenge was Stripes. Here is my offering, an ATC on which I have drawn a caterpillar............the background was brayered, and the edges were distressed using a distress ink pad.

A Bird in the hand..................

The Tanda Teaser Challenge this week is to encorporate a bird image into your work. I used my heron silhouette stamp onto a brayered background. I also used my barbed wire stamp down the edge of the card. I cut around the edge of the barbed wire and used a black pen to shadow the wire. I covered the inside of the card with some decorative paper, and used the same paper to mount the heron panel, along with some gold mirri card. The leaf was also cut from the same sheet of paper.

Saturday 28 February 2009

Silhouette ATC

The challenge this week on Wednesday Stamper challenge blog is silhouettes. I made this ATC by brayering the background, and stamping my own heron silhouette stamp. I used a black pen to extend the design to the top of the ATC. I edged the card with a black marker, job done.

Monday 23 February 2009

Perch card

The challenge on Daring cardmakers challenge blog this week is fish and/or frog. I made this card using a print of a perch that I had previously painted. For a background I painted a little lake bank scene. I cut the scene out as an oval and edged it with a peeloff once it was adhered to the card. The fish was adhered using 3d foam pads and the card was edged with black distress ink and finished with peel offs.

Sunday 22 February 2009

A bit late.............

I know this is a bit late, but last weeks challenge on Art Creations Friday was to use this stunning background paper. I have used it to make a simple skinny. The weeds were added with Galaxy marker and the fish were hand drawn onto holgraphic silver card.
